SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. (March 7, 2023) – A big thank-you to everyone who supported the Group Health Centre (GHC) Trust Fund by purchasing a Big Wish Lottery ticket. Your continued support of the GHC Trust Fund helps keep healthcare accessible within our community.
A special congratulations to the Big Wish cash prize winner, Catherine Tosello of Aweres Township, who took home $70,000. Having purchased her tickets just the night before the draw, Catherine never thought she and her husband would win. Her intention was simply to support the Trust Fund.
“I’ve been a GHC patient for as long as I can remember, and being able to support the progression and improvements means so much to our family. GHC doctors and nurses have played a very big part in my life,” Catherine wrote in a follow-up email.
As a recent retiree, Catherine and her husband embarked on a two-month road trip the morning of the Big Wish draw. They were so excited to hear of their win that they considered returning home immediately. But, after some convincing, they agreed to relax and enjoy the first part of their trip before booking a visit home.
When Catherine visited the GHC to pick up her grand prize cheque, she noted that the win could not have come at a better time. She’s looking forward to planning a few more retirement trips and can now pursue her graduate degree, all thanks to the Big Wish Lottery.
