Keeping our frontline staff safe, so they can do the same for you.

Like everyone around the world can see, this COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we live each day. It has impacted the way that most businesses operate, has many of us now working from home, and leaves a lot of people feeling anxious, alone and with a feeling of helplessness. If you've been on social media, or watching the news, you've likely seen the different strategies that people are using to cope with the isolation. Perhaps you've been getting outside to enjoy nature, or you've finally finished that book you've been meaning to, maybe you've even gotten a headstart on some home renovation projects. While these methods may work for some, others feel the need to contribute directly to the problem - in any way they can.

As a non-profit organization, the Group Health Centre Trust Fund is always in need of funds. During this pandemic, we are not the only ones. If you are considering making a donation to the Trust Fund, please take a portion of that donation and give it to one of the following:

  • Local food banks
  • Local homeless shelters
  • United Way of SSM (who then distributes the funds to the most vulnerable areas in our community)
  • Anywhere in our community that you believe needs a little extra help at this time

We understand that this is a difficult time for all of us, and that you may not be in the same financial situation you were a few months ago. If you are fortunate enough to be in a place where you can afford to make a donation to us, or any of the places in need in our community, we ask you to please consider it.

What will my donation be used for in this pandemic?

Due to social distancing and staying at home, we encourage donations to be made online through our safe, encrypted donation form. If you would rather make a donation over the phone, we would be happy to take your call at 705-759-5530.

Please note that any cheques mailed in will not be cashed immediately, as our team is working from home and only going into the office when need be.

We are all in this together, and we will get through this.
